Secretary of Scientific Affairs at the University of Science and Technology, Dr. Muhammad Siddiq, revealed that they are currently working on creating a fully computerized academic system for students’ related work that is of their registration, admission procedures, going through the lists, entering exams and results, and issuing certificates without paper use. He indicated that they are currently working on reviewing and updating all academic regulations that include full details of admission, registration and grades granted graduation requirements, and the academic evaluation system. In addition to evaluating course work, final exams, freezing requests, external exams, internal and external transfer, and detection of plagiarism and fraud cases. He added that all UST records are to be digitized since its establishment in mid-nineties with no use of papers as old certificates are to be reissued in latest modern way.
