UST postgraduate studies cordinator at the College of Administrative Sciences, Dr. Atef Awad, said the postgraduate program at the college is proceeding as planned, and two batches of the higher diploma were accepted during the past three months, and the number of students exceeded (100) students, as it is the first time that two batches are accepted at a time consecutively, despite the interruption of the program during the last period due to circumstances and events that the country went through. Dr. Atef explained that opportunity to expand postgraduate studies in the college is still high due to the large numbers of bachelor graduates who represent inputs to the postgraduate program, referring to the university’s distinguished reputation and academic stability as well as its geographical location of a high population density, adding that the college operates according to an ambitious vision and focuses on both quantity and quality at the same time, by working on three tracks represented in developing curricula, attracting the best teaching staff, as well as creating a teaching environment in line with the nature of postgraduate studies. He also points out aspects related to submission and registration, and the electronic system helped a lot as students can carry out their application process without the need to come to the university buildings. He said that this comes within UST’s general plan that gives special attention to postgraduate studies and scientific research within the framework of its strategy that focus on scientific research and community service.
