Student Affairs Secretariat welcomes new students

Secretariat of Student Affairs at the University of Science and Technology (UST) provided a comprehensive enlightenment for new students admitted this year at the Medical Complex building. Deputy Dean of Student Affairs, Ms. Malak Hasab Al-Rasoul, said that Students’ Secretariat serves as a link between students and UST administration and is like a sympathetic mother, expressing readiness to provide all assistance to students.  She revealed the support provided by the Secretariat for all sports, social, cultural and other activities, as well as encouraging all those with different talents, such as plastic artists, musicians, singing and poetry, and that UST administration provided all aids for such activities. For its part, Executive Director of Student Affairs Secretariat, Ms. Noura Hamzah, stressed the need for a full compliance with the university’s regulations and laws as one of key student’s duties, reminding them of the importance of student affairs in accomplishing their medical tasks due to their direct relationship to human life, and that a vigilant conscience makes the doctor reassured in his accomplishments properly and completely, and she warned at the time one should distance him/herself from falling into drug traps with adopting useful hobbies. She also said that the secretariat doors will remain open to them even after graduation, indicating the strength of relations with graduates. It should be noted that Student Affairs Secretariat held similar meetings at all UST campuses on Sunday morning.
